
Haviland’s Privilege was a derelict stone mill with multiple outbuildings. Originally, it was a pre-
revolutionary war grist mill built with a grant from King George to Joseph Haviland and it was converted into a paper mill in 1824. TDS&A renovated the mill complex into 7 luxury condominiums in
the mid 1980's and it remains one of most important group of historic buildings in Bennington County and has been recognized in several national publications.
